Key Features

  • Factory-Installed ROMEO-RS Optic — Why it matters: You get a co-witnessed red dot out of the box with no gunsmithing. The 3 MOA dot is daylight bright and the motion-activated circuitry extends battery life past 20,000 hours.
  • XSeries Grip Module — Why it matters: The beavertail and undercut trigger guard let you get a higher grip, reducing muzzle flip and speeding follow-up shots. It’s 0.1 inch wider at the palm than the original P365 for better control without printing.
  • Flat XSeries Trigger — Why it matters: The 90-degree break and short reset give you a consistent pull every time—measured at 4.5 lbs per SIG’s spec sheet. No take-up creep, no over-travel.
  • XRAY3 Day/Night Sights — Why it matters: Tritium front with green front outline and two tritium rears mean you can shoot in total darkness or direct sunlight. The front sight is also steel for holster durability.
  • 12-Round Steel Magazines — Why it matters: Two flush-fit 12-rounders give you 12+1 capacity in a grip that’s shorter than a Glock 43X. The steel body resists corrosion and the witness holes let you count rounds at a glance.

Who It’s For

This pistol is built for daily carriers who want a red dot without the hassle of aftermarket milling. It’s also for shooters who find the original P365 too small—the XSeries grip fills the hand better while staying under 18 ounces. If you’re a lefty, the reversible magazine release is ambidextrous-friendly.

Pros & Cons

  • Pro: Factory optic means no voided warranty or fitting fees. The ROMEO-RS is already zeroed at 25 yards from SIG.
  • Pro: 12-round capacity in a grip that’s barely longer than a 10-round—you get 20% more ammo in the same footprint.
  • Con: The ROMEO-RS uses a proprietary battery tray—you’ll need a small flathead screwdriver to change the battery, and the optic deck is non-removable without tools. Not as field-serviceable as a Trijicon RMR.

What magazines come with the SIG SAUER P365X ROMEO-RS 9mm 3.1 in 12RD?

Two 12-round steel magazines are included. They are flush-fit to the XSeries grip and use the same basepads as standard P365 12-rounders. The steel body is coated to resist rust and the floorplate is textured for positive magazine changes.

Does the ROMEO-RS optic co-witness with the iron sights?

Yes. The XRAY3 front sight is tall enough to co-witness at the lower third of the ROMEO-RS window. You can see the front tritium dot through the glass without the rear sight blocking the red dot. According to SIG’s spec sheet, the co-witness is designed for a 25-yard zero.

Can I use standard P365 holsters with the P365X?

Most P365 holsters will work if they are open-ended or have a covered trigger guard. The P365X slide is the same length as the P365 (3.1 inches), but the grip is slightly longer. Kydex holsters with a sweat guard may need adjustment. Per SIG’s compatibility notes, holsters listed for ‘P365X’ or ‘P365 with XSeries grip’ are guaranteed fit.

Is the ROMEO-RS optic removable?

Yes, but it requires removing two Torx screws under the battery tray. The optic deck is milled into the slide, so once removed you’ll see the factory-cut footprint. SIG does not sell a cover plate for the P365X, but you can install a SIG ROMEO Zero or a Holosun 407K with the correct adapter.

What is the trigger pull weight on the P365X?

The flat XSeries trigger breaks at 4.5 to 5.0 pounds per SIG’s factory spec. The trigger has a 0.5-inch reset and a tactile wall before the break. Aftermarket springs can reduce it, but the factory trigger is already competition-legal for USPSA Carry Optics division.
