Serial no. CA5834. Manufactured in 1953, chambered in 7.62x54R, 20.5″ round barrel. Bore is good with visible rifling. Serial numbers are non-matching. The metal has aged to an even grey patina, while the stock shows expected handling marks and honest service wear. Produced for the Hungarian military during the early Cold War, the 48.M is a well-made variant of the Soviet M44 carbine and is appreciated by collectors for its limited production and quality craftsmanship. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
