Serial no. 262553. Manufactured in 1917 by Remington under Imperial Russian contract, chambered in 7.62x54R, 32″ round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The bolt is matching, and import markings on the left side of the receiver remain sharp. The rifle bears the Finnish “SA” property marking, indicating later Finnish military ownership and service. Of additional interest, the stock displays a German registration/proof cartouche, adding another chapter to the rifle’s post-Russian history. Stock shows expected handling and service wear, and the front handguard is loose. An especially interesting U.S.-manufactured WWI Mosin-Nagant displaying evidence of subsequent Finnish service and later German registration. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
