Serial no. 28497. Manufactured in 1942 by VKT, chambered in 7.62x54R, 32″ round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The bolt is matching to the receiver, while the magazine floorplate has had its previous serial number struck out. The rifle remains in overall good condition with only minimal handling and service wear noted. The hex receiver reflects the rifle’s earlier Russian origins before being rebuilt into Finnish military configuration, giving this wartime VKT an appealing combination of Imperial Russian and Finnish service history. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
