Serial no. 2323. Manufactured in 1943 by Waffenwerke Brünn, chambered in 8mm Mauser, 24″ round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The right side of the barrel bears an import mark, and the bolt is non-matching. The original finish has thinned to an attractive brown/plum patina. Of particular interest, the rifle lacks the typical German Waffenamt acceptance markings, a feature associated with some K98k rifles supplied under foreign contract, including Romanian-contract examples. The stock remains in very good condition with minimal handling impressions noted. An interesting wartime “dot 43” K98k with possible Romanian contract history. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
